What file formats can I upload?
Sieve accepts .txt (plain text), .csv (comma-separated), .html (web pages), .htm, and .json files. You can upload multiple files at once and they will all be combined before extraction.
How does the provider split work?
After extraction, Sieve automatically categorizes each email address by its domain. Gmail.com and Googlemail.com go into the Gmail bucket, Yahoo.com and Ymail.com go into Yahoo, Outlook.com and Hotmail.com go into Outlook, and so on. Business and personal domains that don't match a major provider go into the "Business / Other" bucket.
What does "Verify format" do?
The Verify Format button checks each extracted email address against a strict formatting standard. It flags addresses that look malformed — for example, ones with double dots, missing top-level domains, or invalid characters. This is a format check only; it cannot confirm whether an email address actually exists or has an active inbox.
What is the "Group" option for?
Some bulk email tools require lists in batches — for example, 50 emails per line separated by commas. The Group option lets you set how many emails appear on each line in the Split/output view. Set it to 50 and every line will contain exactly 50 email addresses separated by your chosen separator.

  • Download as CSV for spreadsheets — The .csv download opens directly in Excel, Google Sheets, or Numbers with each email in its own cell.
